The Somali Detention Monitoring Network (SDMN)
The Somali Detention Monitoring Network (SDMN) is a collaborative digital platform designed to support Somali civil society organisations (CSOs), human rights networks, monitors and human rights defenders engaged in monitoring detention, custodial conditions and human rights in places of detention across Somalia.
The platform provides shared digital infrastructure through which participating organisations can collect, securely submit, manage and analyse detention-monitoring information using common monitoring tools and methodologies. SDMN is intended to transform individual monitoring efforts into consolidated, credible and evidence-based information that can support advocacy, accountability, policy dialogue and human rights protection.
